Rotofil eliminates the shots growing on the vines or, in general, on the stalks of plants. This operation allows to remove also the weeds along the rows, between the single plants, without damaging the shoots bearing the fruits.

The axis of the shredding roll is designed aslant to the row to make the operating segment on grassy ground larger and the shredding more delicate.
The shredder is equipped with two hydraulic controls: one for the adjustment of the operating height of the roll, the other one for the lateral displacement (about 0.25 m) of the shredding unit.

CHEMICAL LOPPING SHREDDER
Developed in cooperation by the companies Clemens and Colombardo this technological equipment has been studied for the total removal of the shoots located and the foot of the vine stocks and on the trunk operating under the shoot bearing the fruit on espalier vineyards.
This task is performed by means of the controlled distribution of a liquid through suitable equipment surrounding the plants like in a “hug” and containing a chemical solution called drying product generally consisting of gluphosinate ammonium.
The same equipment can be used also for the chemical weeding between the stocks.
This liquid is mixed with water and introduced in a suitable container located on the tractor hoist (barrel / tank with pump supplied on demand in various dimensions) and then distributed through a special lopper (tunnel) that forms a spraying chamber “wrapping” a specific zone so preserving the parts nearby.
The operation of chemical shredding gives many economical advantages since in average you can reach an output of about 1Ha/hour (25 – 30 Hours each ha in case of manual work)
This method does not generate any hurt to the stock, as often happens with the use of some machines for mechanical shredding so protecting the plant from diseases of the wood and other pathologies.
The various adjustments of the positioning height, inclination, width, are decided and set by the tractor driver with the hydraulic controls on the tractor (independent controls on demand)
The frame of the machine bears a patented shock-preventing system protecting the lopper from lateral and longitudinal shocks
